NAIROBI MUTHIAGA VISIT. “ “...the secret to successful fellowships and a strong Club is having satisfied members who feels at home every time they attend fellowships” shared President Migwi from the Rotaract Club of Nairobi Muthaiga North. He added one among his goals for this new Rotary year is to make members feel at easy and not having boring fellowships by having interesting sessions like Rotaract moments, ‘not too formal fellowships’ but still engaging ones, ‘Ice breakers’ which includes personal business and activities advertisements etc On top of that having ‘guest speakers who fits their portfolio’ example the same age group, senior or past Rotaractors who have the same path as most of the Club members. In implementing this, in the specific fellowship they had a guest from Turn up travel who shared about his company and the packages they offer, which fits the activities most of the Club members do. Another interesting moment was singing the National Anthem before starting fellowship (we can adopt this as well but depends on the venue of your meetings) “ I am from the Rotaract Club of Arusha City located in Arusha region Tanzania, in late July –August I got a chance to visit the Rotaract Club of Nairobi Muthaiga North, D9212, during their fellowship meeting at Roasters Inn along Thika road. The Club was planning for their installation night at Mombasa which will be almost 488Km from Nairobi (their place of residency), in this Installation they invited some of the Clubs in their District and the Rotaract club of Kololo from D9211. The outcome of the visit; the Club agreed to plan a visit to Arusha- Tanzania in May 2020 for a weekend for the purpose of sharing experience, having fun and participate in Arusha City project activities. I will gladly acknowledge the big efforts done by President Migwi in this short period of time to make sure his Club attain the ‘Organic membership increase...’ Finally, would like to thank the members of Nairobi Muthaiga North for the warm welcome and tips we shared which inspired me and hopefully my club members to visit Kenya for Rotaract activities and or having fun.’ Suzan Temba District Asst.
