7- Bryant Jennings vs. Tomasz Adamek

Yes, I know that Adamek has an eliminator against Kubrat Pulev on the horizon, but I have a feeling on how that will end and the end result isn’t Adamek stepping in the ring with Wladimir Klitschko later this year. With Adamek’s heavyweight ceiling reached, and Main Events in need of quality fights to fulfill their contract with NBC Sports, why doesn’t this fit the bill? Jennings still has to prove a few things before we anoint him the next American to challenge a Klitschko, and Adamek has to prove that he is still relevant in the B-flight of heavyweights. Something tells me that with so much on the line, these fighters will give it their all and provide us with a heavyweight fight to remember.

8- Nathan Cleverly vs. Tavoris Cloud

Once again, there is a roadblock to making this fight, and that roadblock is Bernard Hopkins. It is wrong to count out Bernard Hopkins in any fight (even at his advanced age), but I have a feeling that Cloud is going to beat the legendary Hopkins and will have increased his star power in the process. After the dust has cleared and Cloud stands as one of the true top light heavyweights, what fights are available for him? Pascal and Dawson are set to fight, and the winner of that fight is a great option, but why not provide a little more divisional clarity in the process? Cleverly is actively seeking a big fight and is proving to be quite the fighter. Cleverly’s high volume style when matched with Cloud’s tenacious power punching should provide fireworks. Both of these guys have faced periods of inactivity due to promotional and other issues, so it is time to see what they are made of. Why not kill two birds with one stone and put these light heavyweight titlists in the ring together? I have a feeling that the fans won’t regret it.
