Story and Mission
Fostering Together Gulf Coast has been serving children in foster care as well as foster and adoptive families in the Alabama Gulf Coast region since 2019 . Birthed out of a need for support and resources within the foster care community , the organization currently serves over 250 families and over 700 children . We have 2 foster care resource centers located in Mobile and Spanish Fort which give out over 3,000 children ’ s items monthly . Fostering Together also provides support groups , parent trainings , and fun family events throughout the year .
Fostering Together accepts donations of new and gently used clothing , shoes , baby equipment , and other items for infants through teens . Donations of these items , as well as diapers , wipes , and children ’ s toiletry items , are always needed and appreciated . No used toys or books are needed at this time .
How To Do Some Good :
Fostering Together provides great opportunities for the community to help support kids in foster care . We have weekly volunteer opportunities and numerous events throughout the year in which groups can participate . We are also thankful for the many churches , schools , and businesses who host donation drives to keep our resource center stocked with items for the children and families we serve . If your group would like to host a donation drive , give us a call at 251-241-3116 . Please visit our website to learn more about volunteer opportunities .
Foster care takes a village and everyone can do something to help ! We ’ re so thankful for everyone who is part of our village . You can donate today to support our foster families at www . fosteringtogethergc . com / donate or scan the QR Code .
