Story and Mission
Fuse Project is a local nonprofit dedicated to providing the spark for innovation , funding , and implementation of projects benefiting children along Alabama ’ s Gulf Coast . In partnership with The Historic Avenue Foundation , Fuse Project invests in initiatives promoting the health , fitness , education , and social responsibility of our children . Since its inception in 2012 , Fuse Project has raised over $ 4 million and has partnered with over 50 nonprofits and community organizations to bring together high-impact projects for children in Mobile and Baldwin counties . As we celebrate a decade of Fuse Project , we are committed to providing every child in our community with an opportunity for success .
In 2018 , Fuse Project narrowed the scope of its mission to one neighborhood with the launch of the community quarterback organization , The Historic Avenue Foundation . Together , Fuse Project and The Historic Avenue Foundation are making investments in mixed-income housing , cradle-to-college education , and community wellness to enact transformational change and close the opportunity gaps that exist in our community . From partnering with local organizations to launch a culinary club , gardening club , and art club , to offering water safety courses , summer programming , and mentoring , we are investing in the world ’ s most valuable resource and the future of our community .

Fuse Project established a membership organization , Order of Fuse , to provide diverse opportunities to network , socialize , and volunteer with other difference makers in the community . In addition , these members give an annual grant to an initiative or project that aligns with Fuse Project ’ s mission of promoting the health , fitness , education , and social responsibility of our children .
Fuse Project also operates a socially responsible co-working space , Fuse Factory , located conveniently in the heart of downtown Mobile . Fuse Factory offers private offices and communal space memberships . We also welcome business event rentals in the space . Schedule a tour to see this beautiful space for yourself !

Fuse Project is bringing the 3rd annual Lip Sync Battle presented by Infirmary Health to Mobile Bay , and you do not want to miss it ! Select teams will compete before a panel of celebrity judges and peers for the chance to take home the trophy and earn Hall of Fame status . Teams will be made up of community members , not professionals , who will be preparing their best moves and costumes in the weeks leading up to the competition . The best part is , there is no risk of revealing you are actually tone-deaf when every pitch is guaranteed to be perfect ! Fuse Project ’ s Lip Sync Battle brings the most fun and unforgettable fundraising experience to Alabama ’ s Gulf Coast ! All event proceeds will be used to expand our education pipeline through high-quality early learning and academic support programs .
