Two Ansar had dropped back at Pen-yghent and we then lost contact with
them due to little or no telephone signal
out there.
The three remaining Ansar who climbed
up and down Pen-y-ghent started to
then walk the 5 mile trek all the way to
Whernside.
This proved to be an exhausting walk.
When they reached the 2nd peak it, they
began to traverse it but halfway up, due
to pains in his feet 1 of the 3 Ansar Allah
found it extremely difficult to continue.
The fittest of these 3 was asked to
continue at full pace in order to
complete that as well as the 3rd peak,
however, he was asked to wait at the
bottom of peak number 2 for the other
two.
We later found that he did as he was
instructed.
After the 2nd peak, yours truly had just
enough energy to attempt the walk to
and the subsequent climb up
Ingleborough whilst the other Ansari
with the by now swollen feet had to call
it a day and rendezvous with the fittest
of us three.
Ingleborough completely exhausted me
and light was beginning to fade
accompanied by a sky full of clouds.
Through dua to Allah (swt) with
tawassul of the Prophet Muhammad
(s.a.w) and his family (a.s), in particular
Imam Ahmad (a.s), the clouds then
parted whilst I was still at the bottom of
that hill and this illuminated the hill,
making the ascent much easier to
