Reyaad Khan: The Boy Who Wanted To Be Prime Minister
by Laila Ali
Reyaad Khan, at 16 years old wanted to rid
the world of “evil” at 20 years old he was
recruiting British Muslims join ISIS (Islamic
State of Iraq and Syria), what went wrong?
A video has been going viral during the past
few days of Reyaad Khan a young man from
Cardiff, in which he is filmed talking
eloquently about the injustice in the world
and youth issues,

GarMMc this same young man has now
been seen in a video encouraging British
youth to come join ISIS and become
Jihadists. When I first saw the video I was
shocked to see how such a young, smart and
eloquent man was transformed into
becoming a member of one of the most
terrifying and merciless organisations.
“What happened?” I kept asking myself.
In the video Reyaad speaks about how the
government wastes money on illegal wars
and how that money should be spent on
young people to prevent them from being
led down the “wrong path”.
"The world can be a lovely place
but you've just got to get rid of the
evil. If everyone could choose the
good, the evil will go away."
The above quote taken from Reyaad in the
video, portrays a positive and soft natured
young man. Did he get tired of waiting to
see some good so he decided to join ISIS?
Or was ISIS presented to him as a solution
to make the “evil” go away? The story has
only just began unfolding but it is safe to say
that there are many, many other youths that
have left their homes to go join in a war that
has nothing to do with them.
Being that young, leaving everything behind
to go murder and partake in all kinds of
horrific crimes because of his convictions.
Something is going really wrong here. It
seems that many of the young people
leaving to join these terrorist groups come
from impoverished backgrounds. Reyaad is
one such example, coming from a poor area
in Cardiff. In the video he speaks about how
there is nothing to do in his neighbourhood,
