July 26, 2011 THE ROLE OF THE ANSARI IN THE MISSION OF YAMANI By Fayez Al-Hakeem and Labbayk Ahmed Dedicated with love and devotion  to Imam Al-Hassan May Allah hold him in his grace   The word Ansar has many meanings. It may refer to the people of Medina who helped the Prophet Mohammed (pbuh). It may refer to a village in southern Lebanon, a village in Bihar India, an ancient Babylonian deity, a libyan football team, a lebanese football team , and a Saudi Arabian football team. I did not know this before I sat down to write this. The Ansar to be discussed today are the Ansar of the Imam Al-Mahdi, The Ansar of Yamani, and their role in “The Mission”. Please forgive me if I have not given the proper salutations to any of these Most Honorable men and women, see, I am new to Islam, and just don’t know any better. I can however state unequivocally that I hold them in the  highest regard, and hold their ideals and fortitude up high, for all to see. The Banner of ALLAH (swt) has been hoisted once again, the solemn fields of 28 green, against the mighty backdrop of Strength, Love and Compassion, flies defiantly in the face of dajjal. The Yamani has emerged, from the holy city of Basra, Iraq  to lead the righteous army of 10,000 Ansar to victory over the deceitful dark forces of Shaytaan. The role of the Ansar today as I see it, has not changed much over these last 1400 years since the time of Prophet Mohammed (pbuh). The mission is still the same as it ever was. We teach, and guide others to the absolute truth of ALLAH, we feed the hungry, we heal the sick, and we comfort the heart broken. Ours is a most holy mission. We are the living symbols of the love and compassion made manifest by ALLAH(swt), and His Prophets (pbuh). We guard the gates of the heart, lest deception and evil take root. We guard the word of ALLAH against the cold darkness of the false reality dajjal has created on this holy land which was brought into being by a solemn word, and given life by the breath of the true One Creator. We come to this realization from different paths. Some have Christian backgrounds, some have Islamic or jewish roots, and still others come from parts of the world where ALLAH(swt) has lifted them out of the ignorance of idolatry and false idols. Throughout our diverse backgrounds runs one consistent and constant theme. Love and compassion. Love for the One that has created us, love for our fellow men and women, for we have realized the One great truth. We are all connected, and what we do to others we do to ourselves. It has been said many times, in many languages, that one is not a believer in ALLAH until he wishes for his brother what he wishes for himself. These are the principals that we live by, and practice every moment of every day. Our battle is not against flesh and blood, but of the principalities that have instituted the  system of deceit, and selfaggrandizement, that has enslaved mankind for countless centuries.
