dall ’ esperienza delle Passeggiate Creative che oggi vedono in quasi tutti i weekend , compresi quelli invernali , centinaia di persone riunirsi e camminare insieme per “( ri ) scoprire la bellezza dentro e attorno a noi attraversando i luoghi in compagnia delle idee che hanno ispirato ”. Con le sue parole , e le meravigliose fotografie che abbiamo scelto a corredo , potremmo serenamente ( avverbio non casuale , dopo aver percorso questi sentieri ) occupare almeno metà della rivista . Poiché non è possibile , ci limiteremo a suggestioni , più o meno sparse , e a una indicazione , invece , precisa : Emma Villas ha avviato un lavoro accurato di selezione di ville e dimore di pregio che possono divenire base ideale dei nostri tanti “ viaggi possibili ” in questi luoghi .
Lavoro e bellezza : tutti i colori di un territorio “ A lungo Como e il suo territorio sono stati raccontati al mondo come la patria di produzioni industriali e artigianali di grande eccellenza , a cominciare dalla seta e i mobili , o come paradiso per milionari che possono permettersi le splendide proprietà lungo le rive del lago . Con la rivoluzione industriale e per tutto il Novecento , la zona si è riempita di filande , seterie , tinto-stamperie che hanno dato certamente al territorio ricchezza e notorietà internazionale , ma non solo questo : ricordo che , quando ero bambino , il lago non era balneabile , per cui potevo fare il bagno solo nelle piscine che si trovavano a riva ; e anche il colore dell ’ acqua dei torrenti che sfociavano nel lago cambiava a seconda delle stagioni : una volta giallo , una volta fucsia , a seconda dei mutevoli dettami della moda , che dei nostri preziosi tessuti si nutriva ”. Negli ultimi venti anni le cose sono molto cambiate . E alle tradizionali produzioni di qualità − realizzate tenendo conto della crescente , e sacrosanta , coscienza ambientale − si è affiancata la “( ri ) scoperta ” di un ’ altra qualità , altrettanto e forse più preziosa : la bellezza . “ Percy Shelley definiva il Lario un grande fiume eccezionalmente circondato da due grandi catene di monti ”, spiega Berra . “ È il paesaggio romantico per antonomasia , fatto di tre rami ciascuno con una propria identità : costeggiato da colline il ramo di Como , da montagne alte e ripide , adatte anche all ’ alpinismo , il ramo di Lecco , mentre l ’ alto Lario offre una terza visione , complementare alle prime due , che si prolunga fino al lago di ever-changing world of discovery and an experience dominated by the stunning beauty of the setting . Anyone of us , no matter about financial means , can build his own lake , his own journey , his own dream . It ’ s no coincidence , therefore , that it was here a few years ago that Berra set up the Sentiero dei Sogni ( Path of Dreams ) association , born in turn from the experience of the Passeggiate Creative ( Creative Walks ) that today see hundreds of people gathering and walking together on almost every weekend , including winter weekends , to "( re ) discover the beauty within and around us by walking through places in the company of the ideas they inspired ". With his words , and the marvellous photographs we have chosen to accompany them , we could serenely ( an adverb not chosen at random – we too have walked these paths ) fill at least half the magazine . Since this is not possible , we will limit ourselves to some more or less scattered suggestions and one very specific piece of information : Emma Villas has undertaken the careful work of selecting prestigious villas and mansions that can become the ideal base for our many " possible trips " to these places .
Work and beauty : all the colours of a region “ For a long time , Como and the surrounding area have been seen by the world as the home of very fine industrial and artisanal products , starting with silk and furniture , or as a paradise for millionaires who can afford the magnificent properties along the shores of the lake . With the advent of the industrial revolution and throughout the 20th century , the area was filled with spinning mills , silk factories and dye-works , which certainly brought wealth and international renown , but that was not all : I remember , when I was a child , that the lake was not fit for swimming , so I could only swim in the pools on the shore , and even the colour of the water in the streams that flowed into the lake changed according to the seasons : sometimes yellow , sometimes fuchsia , depending on the changing dictates of fashion , which fed on our precious fabrics .” Things have changed a lot in the last twenty years . And the traditional high-quality products – the production of which reflects an increasingly sacrosanct commitment to the environment – have
