They went out for the drink, and that conversation that night was the start of bringing out *Katie’s inner Diva. The woman told her she could see she was a shy and her self-esteem was low, but she knew *Katie had a sparkle in her. She just needed to let it out. One way she knew of was a makeover. To Quote *Katie: “She said, When you feel down and out, sometimes, if you look pretty on the outside then turn to a mirror and see that you really look pretty, you feel good, and everything starts to fall into place.” So they agreed that on Saturday,* Katie would come by her home and this woman was going to give her a makeover.

*Katie came to find out, in college, this woman used to work at MAC makeup, and knew all the makeup tricks, she loved to do things like this, one because it kept her in practice, but two, she knows sometimes people just need a boost in life so they can get ahead. She told Katie, she could see this genuinely nice girl who needed her sparkle, so she can shine. She showed her what makeup looked good on *Katie, and even went with to show her clothes that looked good on her. When she was done, *Katie admitted, she looked good and a new confidence took over, something she never felt before.

As *Katie was getting this new self-esteem and confidence, this woman was dying from breast cancer, something no one knew about. She lived her life fully to the end. When she passed, the song “Firework” was becoming the #1 song. Katie realized that song was her, and that was what the woman was trying to tell her, she was a firework waiting to explode and shine. *Katie found the Lovely Pink Diva from a friend, when she read it, she was reminded of her late friend who had an amazing inner diva, and helped her find her own inner diva.
