and small covering the snowy pavement. I got dressed in my winter clothing and told my mom I’m going out to play.

“Did you do your homework Leo?” she asked. I nodded. “Are you sure?” I sighed and gave her my homework binder from my bag. She reads through every section of the binder and sees that most are empty. “Excellent work hijo, but you need to organize your notes better, you can go out, but remember, be home by 7.”

“Ok mom.” I was about to leave when mom grabbed me and gave me a kiss on the forehead. Then waved me goodbye when I went through the door, sled in arms.

I went over to the park to see a bunch of kids playing in the snow. I went over to my favorite spot to sled. This time I checked if some kid placed a random sled on the ground again, nope, seems like they learnt their lesson. I ran to the top again and tried it when I saw my friends at the top as well. I saw Clyde and his sister Rebecca in the distance, so I thought I could surprise them. I tip-toed past them as I greeted the siblings.

¡Hola amigos!” I exclaimed. Clyde waved while Rebecca tilted her head.

“How’s it going?” he asked.

“Good, pretty good, hey, there’s some people I want you and your sister to meet.”

“Cool! Are they those friends at the daycare you mentioned?”

“Are they aliens?” Rebecca intervened.

“No, but if they are, I may get arrested by the FBI.” I responded.

“What if they have disguises?”

“Hmm… good point. Anyways c’mon!” I lead them to my friends. I see Nate trying to draw a map in the snow with a stick, with a girl with ponytails with him. Is it that Chinese girl he talks about in school, the one who works with her parents? Maya and Tyler building a snowman, the 2 are arguing about what hat the snowman should wear. Matt is on the phone with his mom, I can overhear her saying we’re bad influences(including me), with the dad interrupting over and over. I don’t see Alan though, I feel bad, he’d love the snow, maybe we can pay him a visit later on today. Matt notices us and tells the others. All stopped what they’re doing.

'Oh god everyone’s looking at me.' I thought to myself. “Um, hi guys, uh I would like to introduce some people I’ve met, uh, this is Clyde, and his little sister Rebecca.” I said. 'Gosh I sound like a teacher just now.'
