sweet RAD week

he Irvin High School hallways were filled with famous teachers and students for this year’s RAD event. The Irvin Rockets Reading Hall of Fame came to the school in style! Halls were decorated, posters were displayed, and the week buzzed with exciting activities for everyone! On Monday, students and faculty came dressed as famous people. We had everyone from Beetle juice to Rollin’ Roger to Holly Golightly walking the “RAD” carpet!
In addition, Mrs. Fortney’s Art classes created RAD posters once again.
On Tuesday, Irvin put their footprint on the “Google Earth” map again by creating their famous “RAD” aerial photo on the football field, but this time, Rocket Man and the Crosby Cougars joined in the fun. Third graders, Irvin New Tech students, National Honor Society, and the Irvin Rocket Book Club (#IRBC) brought “RAD” to life.
