THE FORGOTTEN DUTY
ERIN ARUN [ IX D ]
Time flew by , turning hours to days and days to months , just the way the clouds swam in and away , to bring rain in the monsoons , to cool things down after a harsh summer . The soft sound of leaves rustling in the wind , the wind that touches my face , a wind that touches my heart . The breeze got warmer as the afternoon settled in , the sweet smell of lunch being cooked in the kitchen filled me like the soul of an angel . A place so beautiful , a place to be admired , and yet no one has time for that . No eyes are bothered what happens to it , no eyes cared . soon enough we will be ashamed , to lift our eyes , to see the very state of our earth , a mother gone helpless , because no child of her cared anymore . But we still have time to play the good guy , but the chance won ’ t stand too long . So hurry up our mother needs our help , and that shall be our prioritized duty .
Break the challenge
Sian Kuriakose [ 10 B ]
Doors and windows , shut and locked , If you step out I ’ m Sure You ’ ll be blocked .
Imagine being afraid of human contact , Yet the reality shows that It ’ s not an act .
But don ’ t let that dishearten you , For all your hopes have not bid adieu
You can dance , sing and cook , And what ’ s better than reading a book .
Complete those things that need time , Instead of spending lockdown in a whine .
Love yourself and explore your interests . Spend time with your family , they ’ re your assets .
Help those in need , Don ’ t get ahead with greed .
Use this time as an opportunity We can break the chain in unity !
