CAREER CONFERENCE 2021
At the 2021 CHS Career Conference , Grade 11 – 12 students had the chance to spend the afternoon with alumnae , parents and past parents who generously shared their thoughts and expertise as the students considered their next steps and career paths .
As part of her commitment to giving back , Crofton House parent Ida Templeton shared important career lessons in her keynote presentation on progress , not perfection . Her talk covered five key themes : Your Unique Ability ; Abundance , not Scarcity ; The Gift of Grit ; True Value is Your Content , not Container ; and You Are Your Best Investment .
Following the keynote , students were invited to select a topic in each of three 40-minute sessions over the afternoon on the theme of balance and well-being . Each session had up to 15 panels to choose from . Panels were led by alumnae , parents of current and past students , and other CHS community members . Topics ranged from architecture and planning to health sciences , business , technology , communications and more . Students had the chance to hear how panellists carved their paths , and to ask questions that will help shape their own paths .
