MY JOURNEY WITH CAPRECORN
ENTREPRENEURSHIP, WOMEN’ S EMPOWERMENT AND GIRL CHILD EDUCATION
A Thank You letter from Mary Edet
We had success stories in Women’ s Empowerment; especially Girl Child Education. Two of our beneficiaries from Warri, Delta State successfully completed their training and education programmes. Julie, in the photo above, was jobless and caught up in the web of desperate poverty, a situation causing hopelessness for so many. She completed a hairdressing apprenticeship; and was assisted with some funds to set up her own mobile hairdressing business.
Furthermore, we supported and mentored a young lady who approached us for help with setting up small scale business to become self-reliant. Mary Edet, from Nigeria got some assistance and is involved in a mobile clothing sales business. Also, Ishmael Akansi, from Ghana has been awarded scholarship to pursue a course in logistics at his local polytechnic; and is now in the first year of his studies. Interestingly, we helped Ishmael to set up a small business similar to that of Mary, but at some point he decided to pursue further education under our scholarship
I wish to thank Mr Dollin Holt and Caprecon company for the financial assistance they have given to me. This finance will help me to start a business I intend doing. I got on my Facebook one day, trying to find who could assist me. My spirit asked me to chat with Mr Dollin Holt, which I did. I never knew he owned an organisation that could assist. He told me about Caprecon and I browsed to know more about the company. I intend to start a clothing line. I want to import good clothes and textiles to sell here in Nigeria. In the near future or very soon, I know I will make it. Importing goods and supplying to wholesalers and retailers and also to help the needy. Because I was assisted to get to that level, so also I have to reciprocate to those in need. Thank you and God bless you Sir. Mary Edet.
