Senior Spotlight: Travis
Dowdy - Boys Soccer
Travis Dowdy has been a key
contributor to the Westview soccer
program during his four
years while
attending high
school. He is
an eighteen
year old student-athlete
that shines in
anything he
attempts. His hobbies include snowboarding and hanging out with his
friends. But above all, he enjoys soccer.
He’s been playing the sport since he
has been five years-old. Here is a look
behind the game face of Travis Dowdy.
“I’ve always stuck with soccer because I love the sport,” said Dowdy. He
plays the sport year round, including
playing in an indoor league.
Dowdy has many great memories of
the last four years of soccer. His favorite
came near the end of this season. “Beating West Noble on senior night and
winning conference is my favorite memory I will take away from high school.”
Self accomplishments take a back
seat to being a team member for the
senior. “I’ve just tried to help out the
team in any way I can, by playing hard,
and helping the underclassmen.”
The four years of high school went
by quicker than Dowdy would have
