On May 5, first grade students at Meadowview had the opportunity to learn more about Cinco de Mayo. The celebration in the United States is of Mexican heritage in the United States and in the Mexican state of Puebla, it is a celebration that commemorates the Mexican army’s unlikely victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862.
