Meadowview Fourth Graders Experience Hockey The culmination of a section spent studying the various aspects of hockey was the sixth annual trek to the Fort Wayne Coliseum to watch a professional hockey game. Right after school on March 16, the Meadowview fourth graders had seen a demonstration by Karch Bachman on various aspects of hockey and enjoyed a supper of pizza and cookies before boarding buses to head for Fort Wayne. Because of the hockey game not starting until 8 p.m. and having a long trip back to Meadowview afterwards, most of the students enjoyed a slumber party at the school with the boys sleeping in the cafeteria and the girls sleeping in the open area downstairs. The Komets lost 4-3 in overtime. 2012 Mayfest Parade With April’s arrival we know that May and Shipshewana’s Mayfest is not far behind.
