Esther M. Cunningham
esther M. Cunningham, 86, of Blue Anchor, died on Monday, July
3, 2017, at home.
Born in Camden, she was a resident of Blue Anchor for 57 years.
Mrs. Cunningham retired as head cook for the Winslow township
Public Schools after almost 30 years. She enjoyed working in her
flower garden, and doing picture and word search puzzles.
She was predeceased by her husband, John W. Cunningham Sr.;
her son, John “Jack” W. Cunningham Jr., and her grandda ughter, Cali
rose ingemi. She is survived by one daughter, Lori A. Samborski
(Craig) of Atco; two sons, Harry Sullivan (Arlene) of Galloway
township and David Cunningham (Sandy) of New Port richey, fla.;
nine grandchildren, tricia, Brandi, Johnny, David, Crystal, Daniel,
Nicholas, Vincent and Alyssa; eight great-grandchildren, Gianna, ri-
lynn, Scarlett, Wesley, Logan, Haylee, Jordyn and Jace; two sisters, evelyn Driscoll (John)
of texas and Dorothy Strang (Leon) of Gloucester.
A viewing will be held today, Wednesday, July 12, 2017, from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. at the
Carnesale funeral Home, 202 S. third Street in Hammonton, where funeral services will
be held at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Blue Anchor.

Albrecht W. Grampp
Albrecht W. Grampp, 90, died on July 6, 2017.
Albrecht was born in elizabeth. He was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army during World
War ii, and while stationed in frankfurt, Germany, met his wife, Kathe. they were married
for 69 years. Albrecht was employed with Blue ridge Carpets as a sales representative be-
fore retiring. After retirement, he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from thomas edison
State University. Albrecht worked part time as a substitute teacher in German language
studies at local high schools. Albrecht also volunteered his time teaching inmates at local
correction facilities about the Bible and Bible History. in 2012, he was given the Joint Leg-
islative Commendation from the State of New Jersey for his volunteerism. Albrecht also
served for 58 years as an elder with the english Hammonton Congregation of Jehovah’s
Witnesses.
Albrecht was predeceased by his brother, Harold Grampp and son, erick Grampp. He
is survived by his wife, Kathe Grampp; his son, Mark Grampp of Hammonton; his sister,
Gudrun K. Quinn and brother-in-law, John Quinn of Milford, Pa.
A funeral is scheduled for July 15, 2017, at 2:30 p.m. at the Hammonton Kingdom Hall
of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 4747 White Horse Pike, egg Harbor, New Jersey 08215.

Louis J. DiGioia Jr.
Louis J. DiGioia Jr., 76, of Windber, Pa., and formerly of Hammonton, died on July 28,
2016, in Morrisville, Vt.
Born in Hammonton, he lived there most of his life and was a graduate of Hammonton
High School. He worked at Ancora Psychiatric Hospital for 20 years. His greatest joy in
life was spending time with his family.
Mr. DiGioia was predeceased by his parents, Lou and Josephine DiGioia; his brother,
frank DiGioia. He is survived by his wife, Dolores DiGioia of Windber, Pa.; his daughter,
Karen DiGioia ressler (Joe) of Johnstown, Pa.; his brother, Joe DiGioia and his wife,
Brenda of Vineland; his grandchildren, Josie Dawn ressler, Lexi Dee ressler, and his
beloved Maltese, Baby Girl.
Graveside services will be held thursday, July 20, 2017, 11 a.m., in Greenmount Ceme-
tery, 124 S. first road, Hammonton.

women from Pennsylvania were
arrested on drug charges at 9:30 p.m. on July 6, Hammonton Po-
lice Chief robert Jones said. the
arrests occurred on Myrtle Street,
Jones said.

Hammonton Board of educa-
tion President Sam Mento iii said
the custodian’s duties were limited
to “outbuildings and bathrooms.”
“According to our business ad- ministrator, he was a part-time
employee who was responsible
for cleaning all the outbuildings
and bathrooms. i don’t think the
public should have any concerns
about what he did as an employee
at the school,” Mento said.
When contacted by The Gazette
last week, Chief robert Jones said
the Hammonton Police Depart-
ment had been made aware of the
arrest.

rant,” Jones said.

dangerous substance (heroin) and
being under the influence of a
controlled dangerous substance,
Jones said.
• Angela Chelland, 21, of
Woodlyn, Pa., who was charged
with possession of controlled dan-
gerous substance (heroin) and
possession of drug paraphernalia,
Jones said.
• Leah evans, 25, of
Brookhaven, Pa., who was
charged with being in possession
of controlled dangerous substance
(heroin), Jones said.
One of the women was taken
by ambulance to a hospital for
treatment, Jones said.
Kiwanis Club
hosting free
children’s
shows
Kiwanis Club Past President
Butch rodio announced that the
club will be hosting two more free
children’s shows at the Hammon-
ton Lake Park this summer.
On friday, July 21 at 11 a.m.,
the Kiwanis Club will welcome a
One Man Circus at the bandstand.
A talented performer will show-
case his magical talents, juggling
ability and other circus-like tricks.
On Saturday, August 19 at 11
a.m., the club will host Mother
Goose Magic.
