Bashar Golam-Mahbub, a citizen
of Bangladesh who sources say
was employed as a janitor at the
Hammonton School District, was

Sources: Custodian Abdul-Bashar Golam-Mahbub arrested by iCe
arrested in Hammonton by immi-
gration and Customs enforcement
(iCe) on July 5, according to
sources from iCe and the Ham-
monton School District.
iCe issued a statement after
being contacted by The Gazette.
“On July 5, 2017, iCe erO of-
ficers arrested Abdul-Bashar
Golam-Mahbub, a citizen of
Bangladesh, in Hammonton, New
Jersey. On April 6, 2000, an immi-
gration judge ordered Golam-
Mahbub removed in absentia. He
will remain in iCe custody pend-
ing removal from the U.S.,” iCe
spokesman Lou Martinez told The
Gazette in an emailed statement.
