Police investigate burglaries and thefts around town

In other police news , Shawn Kelly , 24 , of Hammonton , was arrested for burglary and theft when he allegedly entered a white Ford box truck and removed a Samsung tablet at 6:01 p . m . on June 27 in the parking lot of the ShopRite at Peach Tree Plaza at 80 S . White Horse Pike , Friel said .
The property owner of the tablet observed Kelly removing the tablet of the vehicle as he approached the
vehicle , Friel said .
Kelly was charged with the burglary and theft of moveable property and bail was set at $ 5,000 by Hammonton Municipal Court Judge Frank Raso , Friel said . Kelly was unable to post bail and was transferred to the Atlantic County Jail , Friel said . K-9 Officer Robert Zbikowski
Pasquale “ Pat ” Martinelli
Pasquale A . “ Pat ” Martinelli , 94 , of Egg Harbor Township , died on Thursday , June 30 , 2016 , at Egg Harbor Care Center .
Born in St . Benedict , Pa ., he was a longtime resident of Hammonton and has lived in Egg Harbor Township for the last 15 years . Before retiring , Pat worked as a toll collector for the Atlantic City Expressway . He formerly owned Rainbow Tours Bus Company in Hammonton . Pat was a former member of the Sons of Italy Lodge No . 1658 in Hammonton , where he enjoyed playing pool . Pat enjoyed woodworking , ceramic tile work , gardening and working around the house .
He was predeceased by his wife , Rosemarie J . Martinelli . He is survived by his son , Larry Borski ; his daughter , Rosemarie Tomasello both of Egg Harbor Township ; and his sister , Jennie Brown of Hammonton .
A viewing will be held on Wednesday , July 6 , 2016 , after 10 a . m . at the Church of St . Katharine Drexel , 6075 West Jersey Avenue , Egg Harbor Township , where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a . m . Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Mays Landing .

In a separate incident , police were called to the 300 block of Walnut Street to investigate a burglary at 8:55 p . m . on June 27 , Friel said .
“ A homeowner reported that unknown actors entered his residence and stole his Playstation 4 along with controllers ,” Friel said .
Friel said there did not appear to be forced signs of entry .
Officer Kenneth O ’ Neil is the investigating officer , Friel said .
Anyone with any information regarding this incident should contact the Hammonton Police Department ’ s Detective Bureau at 561- 4000 , Friel said .
Also , Hammonton Police were contacted at 10:44 a . m . on June 28 regarding a theft on the 400 block of Boyer Avenue , Friel said .
“ A toolbox was stolen from the shed at the property . Contents from the toolbox were located at one of the local pawn shops . With the information we received from the pawn shop , we were able to make an arrest ,” Friel said .
Matthew Grasso , 36 , of Hammonton , was charged with theft of moveable property and receiving stolen property and also found to have an outstanding warrant in the amount of $ 2,000 from Delanco Twp . Grasso was unable to post bail and was transferred to the Atlantic County Jail , Friel said . Officer Kyle Ambrozaitis was the arresting officer , Friel said .

Donald E . Adams Sr ., 80 , of Buena Vista Twp ., died peacefully at home with family by his side .
He was born in Philadelphia , Pa ., he lived in Collings Lakes and Franklin Twp . before settling in Buena Vista Twp . Donald served as a Buena Vista Twp . Committee man and the Board of Education in the late ‘ 70s thru the early ‘ 80s . Donald retired from Boeing Company in Ridley Twp ., Pa ., as a manager with more than 35 years of service . He served in the Army National Guard from 1953 – 1956 .
He was predeceased by his wife , Anna ; parents , William and Katherine Adams . Surviving are his children , Donna Miles and her husband , Mark of Collings Lake , Donald Adams Jr . predeceased by Donald Adams Jr . and his wife , Debbie of Malaga , Linda Faucher and her husband , Richard of Bear , Del ., Daniel Adams of Malaga , John Adams of Buena Vista Twp ., Dr . William Adams and his wife , Toni of Ocean ; two brothers , William Adams , of Boca Raton , Fla ., and John Adams of Goodyear , Ariz .; grandchildren , Kathy Hortiz ( Jason ), Nicole Demarco ( Bill ), Donald Adams III , Donald Faucher , Little Linda Stroup ( David ), Jessica Faucher , Kimberly Faucher ( Michael Bogucki ), Kevin Faucher , Ellen Adams , Little Billy Adams , Emily Adams , Ryan Miles and Kenny Miles ; and great-grandchildren , Chase , Brendan and Mason Hortiz , Alexandria Stroup , Reese and Caleb DeMarco .
