Carol Olive
Carol (Brigandi) Olive, age 75, of Hammonton died on Sunday, June
17, 2018 at Jefferson Hospital in Washington Twp., N.J.
Carol was born in Hammonton, she was a lifelong resident. Carol loved
cooking for and spending time with her husband and family. She was a
member of the Hammonton PTA and a room-mother every year for both
of her daughters. She was a devoted member of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel
Parish. She enjoyed babysitting for her g randchildren and traveling to
Lancaster as often as she could. Carol was a graduate of HHS Class of
1961 and loved the monthly luncheons with her classmates.
She is predeceased by her parents, Mike and Rose Brigandi; in-laws,
Angelo and Angie Olive. She is survived by her beloved husband of 55
years, Angelo “Sonny” Olive; her daughters, Michelle (Layne) Ell of Hammonton and
Melanie (Tige) Vitale of Egg Harbor Township; her five grandchildren, Desiree Downes of
Hammonton, Danielle (Jeffrey) Downes, Samantha Ell of Mays Landing, Sunnie and Jarred
Vitale of Egg Harbor Township and precious great-grandson Luke Angelo of Mays Landing;
her sisters, Mary Morganweck and Rose Rita (Joe) LaRosa; sisters- and brothers-in-law,
Marie Olive, Patti (Ralph) Perna, Bill (Janice) Olive all of Hammonton and many nieces and
nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, June 22, 2018 at St. Mary of Mt.
Carmel Parish – St. Joseph Church, Hammonton. Burial was in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery,
Hammonton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Carol’s memory to American
Heart Association Union Street, Suite 301 Robbinsville, NJ, 08691or American Diabetes As-
sociation, 1160 Rt#22 Suite 103 Bridgewater, NJ 08807.

Janet Thibault
Janet Thibault (nee Mick), age 72, of Nesco died June 20, 2018.
She was born in Batsto and a resident of Nesco. She was a member of
Mullica Twp. Sr. Citizens and loved playing cards and bingo.
Janet is survived by her husband, Adrian Thibault Sr.; her children, Bonnie
Hakes (Harry), Cindy Barton (Keith), Adrian Jr., (Christine) Russell and
Timothy (Maryann). Sister to Lester Mick (Arlene) and Nellie Bickford, She
is also survived by many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren and
friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the Marinella
Funeral Home, Hammonton. Burial was in Batsto-Pleasant Mills Cemetery.
Donations may be made to Liberty Dialysis, 392 N. White Horse Pike, Hammonton, NJ 08037.

Paula Parker
Paula Parker (nee Juliano), 52, of Hammonton died June 22, 2018 at her
residence.
Paula was born in Camden and lived in Hammonton for most of her life.
She worked for Schiff Enterprises in Northfield for more than 30 years and
also prepared taxes seasonally for Abbott Associates in Hammonton. She
was also a new but eager member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society at Our
Lady of the Lakes Church in Collings Lakes.
She is predeceased by her father, Karl Decker; uncle, Roger Buffington
and maternal grandparents, Paul and Rita Maccarella. Paula is survived by
her husband, Donald Parker and her children, Jaime Picchi and her fiancé
Eric Ikalewicz and Anthony Parker. Paula is the daughter of Rosemarie Decker, niece of Ida
Buffington and Catherine and Carmen Mazza and sister of Ernest Juliano (Tamara), Patricia
Keeler (William) and Catherine Lopes(Daniel). She loved all of her nieces and nephews, espe-
cially her godson, Tyler Cline.
Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing Today, Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from
8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. Third St. Hammonton. A Mass
of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish—St. Anthony
Church, Route 206, Hammonton. Burial in Greenmount Cemetery, Hammonton. In lieu of
flowers, any donations would be appreciated.

Charles Knight
Charles Knight, age 83, of Hammonton died on June 21, 2018 from cancer.
He was predeceased by his wife, Helen (nee Mitchell). He is survived by his daughters,
Gwen (John), Dawn; son, Eric (Gina); five grandchildren, Angela, Paula, Miranda, Eric Jr.,
and Brittany; and four great-grandchildren, Gianna, Zoey, Lynk, and Finn.
A memorial service will be held at a future date at Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery,
Estell Manor, NJ.

monton Police Department exe-
cuted a search warrant at the
residence of Juan Reyes, 309
Fairview Avenue in Hammonton,
the release said.
According to the press release,
the execution of the search warrant
was the result of an investigation
into the distribution of heroin and
crack cocaine throughout Atlantic
County.
“He was a major player in narcotics
distribution in this area. This was a
joint effort between us, the FBI, the
Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Of-
fice Guns, Gangs Unit. Hammon-
ton’s definitely a better place with
this guy behind bars,” Hammonton
Police Chief Robert Jones said.
As a result of the investigation,
the following items were recov-
ered, according to the release from
the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s
office:
• Approximately 4 ounces of
crack cocaine
• Approximately 1 ounce of crys-
tal methamphetamine
• 2 grams of uncut/unpackaged
heroin
Reyes, 32, has been indicted on
the following charges, according to
the release:
Anna Curreri Battaglia
Anna Curreri Battaglia, age 97, a lifelong resident of Hammonton and
Elm, died peacefully on Monday, June 25, 2018 at Samaritan Center Hos-
pice, Virtua Campus, Route 73, Voorhees.
After attending Hammonton High School, Anna learned hairdressing
at the Marinello Beauty School and then did an internship at Frank and
Seder Department Store, both places in Philadelphia. At age 18, Anna
opened the Modern Beauty Shop on Horton St. and Bellevue Avenue,
Hammonton, where she was t he proprietor for six years. Married to hus-
band Joseph Battaglia, the couple operated White Horse Farms and Pro-
duce Market for 50 years from 1949-1999, where Anna would teach good
selling techniques along with practical life lessons to hired boy and girl
teens. Mrs. Battaglia also liked giving advice to younger relatives who would often ask for
her opinion.
Anna was a past member of the St. Joseph Church Choir along with the Catholic Daugh-
ters, was a parishioner at St. Joseph Church, at St. Anthony of Padua and later at St. Mary’s
of Mt. Carmel, and she served as a volunteer at Kessler Memorial Hospital, where in the
1960s Mrs. Battaglia was co-founder of the Kessler Hospital Snack Bar and Gift Shop.
During her lifetime, Anna loved traveling around the world with her husband Joseph, va-
cationing in Florida, Europe, China, Israel, Japan and South America. Cooking Sunday Italian
meals for her children and grandchildren was especially Anna’s greatest pleasure.
Anna is survived by her daughter, Joanne Wiessner and her husband, John of Hammonton
along with Eileen Paretti and her husband, Oliviero of Waterford Works; grandchildren,
Joseph Wiessner (wife Karen) of Hammonton, John Thomas Wiessner of Woodbury and
Stephen (wife Michelle) of Saddle Brook, Jeffrey Paretti (wife Paula) of Waterford Works,
Lori Paretti Defeo (husband Frank) of Dorothy, and David Paretti (wife Jennifer) of Waterford
Works; great-grandchildren, Daniel and Karly Wiessner of Hammonton, Sierra and Lindsey
Wiessner of Saddle Brook, Tevya and Tiffany Paretti of Waterford Works, William and An-
thony DeFeo of Dorothy and Samuel and Charlotte Paretti of Waterford Works; numerous
nieces and nephews. Anna’s family would like to gratefully thank her three devoted caregivers
Mamie “Sissy” Thomas, Andrea Chandler and Shelly Williams for faithfully taking care of
her for the past three years.
Family and Friends are invited to attend Anna’s viewing from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday,
July 1 at Marinella Funeral Home, Third Street, Hammonton. A Mass of Christian Burial will
be held on Monday, July 2 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish- St. Joseph Church,
Third and French Streets, Hammonton. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. In lieu of
flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish, 226
French Street, Hammonton, NJ, 08037.

Gloria K.
Regenelli
Gloria K. Regenelli (nee Kershak),
87, died on Sunday, June 24, 2018 in At-
lantiCare Regional Medical Center,
Mainland Division.
Born in Vineland she was a resident
of Hammonton for 34 years. She for-
merly worked for Crown Clothing Com-
pany in Vineland as a machine operator
and was a member of the Amalgamated
Clothing Workers Union.
Mrs. Regenelli was predeceased by
her son, Richard A. Heritage and her sis-
ter, Pauline Montemagno. She is sur-
vived by her husband, Geriy J. Regenelli;
her stepson, Stephen Regenelli of Atco;
her sister, Florence DeAngelis of Elmer;
and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private and at the
convenience of the family. Memorial
Donations may be made to the charity of
one’s choice.
