OBITUARIES
Donald A . Monteleone
Donald A . Monteleone , 84 , of Buena Vista Township passed away on Thursday , June 1 , 2023 in Deborah Heart and Lung Center . Born in Malaga he lived in the Vineland area until moving to Hammonton in 1992 where he remained until moving to Buena Vista in 2020 . Donald was a self-employed heavy equipment mechanic . He was an avid hunter and fisherman . He loved going to the casinos and riding his " Harley ."
Donald was predeceased by his longtime loving companion , Fran Gazzara . He is survived by three sons , Donald N . Monteleone , Daniel R . Monteleone ( Gina ) and Donald A . Monteleone ; four step-daughters , Debbie Gazzara-Berenato ( Denny ), Rhonda Smith ( Glenn ), Charlotte Gazzara and Lori Kemmerer ( Gary ) and many grandchildren , great grandchildren , nieces and nephews .
A viewing will be held Thursday , June 8 , 2023 9:30 a . m . - 10:30 a . m . at the Carnesale Funeral Home , 202 S . Third St ., Hammonton , where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a . m . Entombment will be held in Greenmount Cemetery , Hammonton . In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society Attn : Making Strides of Ocean City , N . J ., 1851 Old Cuthbert Road , Cherry Hill , N . J . 08034 . Arrangements entrusted to Carnesale Funeral Home .

POLICE , from Page 1 Mill Road and Boyer Avenue , Friel said . The driver was identified as Christopher Barts Jr ., 23 , of Hammonton , Friel said .
While Ambrozaitis was speaking with him , Barts appeared to be disoriented and confused , Friel said . Ambrozaitis detected the odor of alcoholic beverage on Barts ’ breath and person , Friel said .
He was placed under arrest , transported to police headquarters for processing and charged with the following motor vehicle violations , Friel said : driving while under the influence , refusal to submit to breath testing , reckless driving , careless driving , failure to report an accident , leaving the scene of an accident , leaving the scene of an accident involving damage and vehicle in an unsafe condition , Friel said .
Barts was released as per John ’ s Law , pending a court appearance in Hammonton Joint Municipal Court , Friel said .
