How American Hip Hop Influenced Other Countries

In the late 1970’s, hip hop was invented. Its founder was DJ Kool Herc, a Jamaican – American DJ who was born in Kingston, Jamaica and moved to South Bronx, New York where he became a DJ. Then it started to spread throughout America.
In the end, American hip hop spread throughout the world and influenced other countries by adding their culture to it.

DJ Kool Herc was spinning records and playing in his father’s band at parities. He would use a little trick he had called the “Merry-Go-Round" to hype up the crowd. He used the two turntables in a typical DJ setup; to switch back and forth repeatedly between two copies of the same record, extending the short drum break, which people very much enjoyed. Soon, Herc became popular for his DJing.
