Europe
In Europe; France, Germany, and the United Kingdom are rated highly in education also reported by U.S. News. All three countries focus on the beginner stages of education such as kindergarten and primary school. After students complete this stage of school, they move on to a career track based on their academic performance. Schools they can move on to are gymnasium (getting ready for college), they can go into trade professions, and there is a school for white-collar careers. This is very different from the U.S. because at a young age German children need to have an idea of what they want to do.
Australia
Australia is just short of being one of the top five but is number six according to U.S. News. Even though Pewresearch says Australia’s test scores are higher than the United States. That means compared to the United States, Australia has about the same or is just surpassing the Unites States education system.
Middle East
Jordan and Lebanon who are below, for example, have significantly lower test scores compared to the U.S. again presented by Pewresearch. This is likely due to low economic growth in the middle eastern, which can cause education and test scores to plummet. Having a low economy can affect education in these countries because they don’t have the same technology as other countries like the U.S. and that could cause low scores.
