"On degrees - I find that often it's not the degree that matters but the EQ learned in the process of getting the degree really does. The self discipline, work ethic, ability to collaborate and work within structure and with differing personalities can make all the difference. And the exercise of learning is always valuable, regardless of whether it is learning in your chosen field of work. Some of the greatest entrepreneurs I know didn't complete degrees, but to a person, those who succeed gained that learning and experience elsewhere. Conversely, though, I know of multiple who achieved degrees but didn't learn EQ in the process. I've learned to vet it out through questioning. There are many, particularly in the millennial window, who slid by, or feel that by having a degree they're somehow "made" and entitled. (One actually told me he had data to show he was owed his salary for simply walking through our door, and another chewed me upside and down the other for making it possible for a sharp contractor to earn as much as he received for a degree plus.7 years working experience .Thankfully, both are now elsewhere.
But as to your core question - the degree isn't a necessity but the advanced EQ learning that would make someone successful as an entrepreneur or within an organization is imperative, however or wherever it's gained." Cheryl Snapp Conner
Entrepreneurship or University Degree?
This is the question so many young people around the world are asking these days. The majority are so disillusioned with spending years at the university with associated high University fees. They are asking "is the degree worth it?"
Our team at The Global Achievers put the question out to the members of the public.
