Constantly striving to improve, she has been one of the most consistent and disciplined performers in the training environment and thoroughly deserves this honor. BGGA Athlete of the Year: Daniel Song We don’t always get our goals and our dreams, but we ALWAYS get our standards, and these ambassadors have helped raise the standard at BGGA and have been a positive influence and support for the students. For the second year in a row, Daniel takes the award for BGGA Top Male Athlete. Disciplined, focused and consistent and are the characteristics epitomized by this young man in the training setting. A role model for younger students in this environment, his maturity and solid work ethic are to be applauded. A strong young golf athlete, he deserves and should have, great success at college. Leadership: Savannah Weyrauch Most Improved Savannah receives this award as a 2nd year student who works very hard and is definitely a leader in the making. “We should not judge people by their peak of excellence; but by the distance they have traveled from the point where they started. He is a 2nd year student at BGGA from Zambia. He has stepped up in so many ways, to help others and do whatever needs to be done to make things better for the students at BGGA. He is kind, thoughtful and will be a wonderful leader. GOLF/ATHLETIC DEVELOPMENT The Golf and Athletic Development Awards for overall best athlete at BGGA have been selected based on attendance, work ethic, effort, commitment and dedication. BGGA Athlete of the Year: Savannah Weyrauch Savannah is our BGGA Top Female Athlete for 2018-2019. Also one of the most improved performers in fitness this year, Savannah’s competitive nature came alive during the Annual Fitness Challenge. The Most improved Athlete Award is based on the degree of improvement this year in all areas related to strength and conditioning. These students have put in the commitment and shown their dedication all year long. Most Improved Players have shown the greatest improvement in golf and achieved extraordinary results this year. Most Improved Athlete: Sophia Tejeda New to the program this year, Sophia was also new to physical training in the formal sense. While she enjoyed the social aspect of training from early on, fitness was not taken too seriously. Sometime around Christmas however, there was a turning point.
