Opportunities for
Patriot’s Pen Program, Award up to $5,000. Deadline is October 31. Open to students in grades 6-8 who complete a 300 to 400 word essay expressing their views based on the theme, “America’s Gift to My Generation.”
Voice of Democracy Scholarship, Award is $30,000. Deadline is October 31. Open to all high school students who write and record a three to five-minute broadcast script on the following theme, “American History: Our Hope for the Future.”
Association on American Indian Affairs, Award is $1,500. Deadline is November 1. Provides financial support to graduate and undergraduate students from federally recognized tribes.
Ron Brown Scholarship, Awards up to $40,000. Deadline is November 1. Focuses on academic achieve-ment, community services, and career immersion for African American college bound high school seniors.
Umansky Law Firm Education Scholarship, Award is $1,000. Deadline is November 11. Supports those pursuing a career as a lawyer. Priority is given to students whose lives have been impacted by severe car accident injuries.
AAHD Fredrick J. Krause Scholarship, Award is $1,000. Deadline is November 15. Awarded annually to a deserving student with a disability who is pursuing studies related to health and disability.
Moreira Team Mortgage Scholarship, Award is $500. Deadline is November 15. Supports students to use the funds towards college tuition. Students are asked to complete a 750 plus word essay on “First Time Home Buyers, Getting Home Loan Ready, Financing Your Home, and/or Home Loan Ready Credit.”
Puffy “Dream Big” Scholarship, Award is $700. Deadline is November 20. Supports believers and dreamers that feel they can make a positive change in the world. Students must complete a 1000-2000 word essay describing how they plan to use their education to change the world.
No Bull Sports, Award is $5,000. Deadline is December 1. Supports female high school athletes who will be pursuing an athletic endeavor in college.
