Gary Dickinson Award for Teaching Excellence, Award up to $2,000. Deadline is October 31. Recognizes an outstanding middle school teacher or a team of teachers who have made creative and exemplary use of the World In Motion program.
George C. Pimental Award in Chemical Education, Award is $5,000. Deadline is November 1.
Recognizes outstanding contributions to chemical education. The activities recognized may be in the fields of teaching, organization and administration, influential writing, educational research, and public engagement.
James Bryant Conant Award in High School Chemistry Teaching, Award up to $5,000. Deadline is November 1. Recognizes, encourages, and stimulates outstanding teachers of high school chemistry.
Mary Finocchiaro Award, Award is $500. Deadline is November 1. Recognizes a Teacher of English Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) member who has achieved excellence through the development of practical pedagogical materials not currently being considered for publication.
Ruth Crymes TESOL Fellowship for Graduate Study, Award is $1,500. Deadline is November 1. Supports recent or current graduate students in developing projects with direct application to classroom instruction of English to Speakers of Other Languages.
Emerging Teachers-Leaders in Elementary Mathematics Grants, Award is $6,000. Deadline is November 3. Increases the breadth and depth of the mathematics content knowledge of one elementary school teacher who has demonstrated commitment to mathematics.
National Council of Teachers of Mathematics - Equity in Mathematics, Award is $8,000. Deadline is November 3. Incorporates middle school classroom materials or lessons that will improve the achievement of student groups that have previous records of underachievement.
National Council of Teachers of Mathematics for Lifetime Achievement Awards, Award is recognition. Deadline for nomination is November 3. Designed to honor current NCTM members who have demonstrated a lifetime of achievement in mathematics education.
Diana Hacker Outstanding Programs in English Awards, Award is $500. Deadline is November 10. Honors the achievements of those two-year college English teachers who create exemplary programs and initiatives to enhance students’ language learning.
American Turkish Society, Awards from $250 to $2,500. Deadline is November 30. Offers grants to develop innovative curricula, projects, and other classroom activities about Turkey.
Dr. Elizabeth Watkins Latin Teacher Award, Award is $500. Deadline is December 1. Recognizes an outstanding K-12 Latin teacher. Eligible candidates must be state certified to teach Latin and have taught for a minimum of three years.
