& Current Events Congratulations Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Asmari The last month, the TUELC ,witnessed some dramatic and applauding moments. In the beginning of the month we had a wondrous news of the promotion of Dr. Adulrahman Al– Asmari to the Professorship of Applied Linguistics at Taif University , after fortnight a news flashed of his Deanship in Faculty of Arts/ Language. The faculty of ELC had mixed feelings for they had an admonition lest he should leave them to join his new post but had a sigh of relief when some quarters of ELC floated a news that Dr. Abdulrahman Al—Asmari would also hold the portfolio of Director of ELC. And at the end of the month we got his news of appointment as Vice President of Academic Affairs/ Development. Finally, he left us but the faculty is happy to see his surrogate on the helm of affairs of the university . Our love, our best wishes and prayers for him.
