It is now the Priory Roses Vintage Group Tractor Road Run and we raise money for charity. This year we raised over £2,600 for Yorkshire Air Ambulance and one of their helicopters is based on the Nostell Priory Estate. We have great support from local companies including Farmstar, Ripon Farm Services, Colin Moxon of Yorkshire Fertilisers who was a great help, F. Peart Co and our local branch of the NFU - and we had 62 tractors this time. Last year we started with just 18 and three of them were ours! “Our journey starts at Nostell and takes us through Sharlston, Featherstone and to Farmer Copley’s Farm Shop. After stopping off there we go 26 Aug/Sep 2014 FarmersMart back to Featherstone then cut across to Ackworth and take in Darrington and Kirk Smeaton, stopping for lunch at Thorpe Audlin. We take in Badworth and Ackworth on the way back to where we started,” she explained. “It’s become very popular with the public too and we get hundreds turning out to watch and give to charity.” ‘This year we raised over £2,600 for Yorkshire Air Ambulance and one of their helicopters is based on the Nostell Priory Estate’ To read more, visit www.farmers-mart.co.uk
