2024 SUMMER DAY CAMPS Here ’ s something to warm your soul during cold days – our 2024 Summer Day Camps !

Start dreaming of summer days and fun at McCloud Nature Park and W . S . Gibbs Memorial Park , and then be ready to register for our camps beginning February 1 , 2024 !

Each week of Summer Day Camps has a different theme , with camps designed for kids ages 2 to 5 and their parent or guardian held from 10 a . m . to noon on Tuesdays , and camps for kids ages 6 to 12 held from 10 a . m . to 3 p . m . on Thursdays . Choose the camp ( s ) that interest you !
For Tuesday camps , a $ 12 registration fee covers a camper and parent or guardian . For Thursday camps , registration is $ 15 per camper . Advance registration is required , and our camps fill up very quickly , so register early !

GET MESSY : Time to get your hands dirty ! Make mud pies , paint with sticks , and play games that WILL earn a few grass stains at McCloud Nature Park . Bring a change of clothes for this one !
ANGLERS : Join us as we dip our toes into the vast waters of fishing at W . S . Gibbs Memorial Park ! Campers will learn some of the different types of fish they could find in our waters and will get the opportunity to learn how to use some basic fishing equipment .
HERPETOLOGY : Fangs , shells , scales , and tails ! This zoological branch is sure to WOW you ! Join the naturalists as we herp together through McCloud Nature Park !
BACKYARD CRITTERS : Anyone can create a welcoming haven for local wildlife in their own backyard . It is fun , easy , and can make a lasting difference . Campers will explore all the different things they could find in their own backyard , and they will be leaving W . S . Gibbs Memorial Park with the knowledge of how to certify their backyard as a wildlife habitat .
AQUABENDERS : What lives in Big Walnut Creek at McCloud Nature Park ? Uncover the mysterious and strange benthic macroinvertebrates hiding in the water . Closed-toe , water-suitable shoes are required . A towel and change of clothes are recommended .
