SEE THE GREAT NORTH AMERICAN TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE !
April 8 , 2024 will provide a rare opportunity to view a total solar eclipse in Central Indiana ! Join us for this special event !
For the first time in more than 800 years , Central Indiana will be able to view a total solar eclipse ! On April 8 , 2024 , the moon will pass in between the Earth and the sun , and the celestial phenomenon will be visible in our area for the first time since 1205 A . D .!
We will be celebrating with a special program at W . S . Gibbs Memorial Park on April 8 at 2 p . m ., and then we welcome everyone to stay to watch the eclipse with us ! Find your favorite spot in the park and enjoy the show !
We will even have FREE certified eye protection glasses that meet ISO 12312-2:2015 standards for the first 750 park guests that day !
While we won ’ t be holding a program at McCloud Nature Park , you ’ re welcome to view the total solar eclipse there , too . Stop by the McCloud Nature Center and grab one of the 250 FREE sets of certified eye protection glasses that we ’ ll have available while supplies last !
