2021-2022 Diversity Team​
The Diversity Team meets monthly to review and update the Team ’ s progress related to the DEI Action Plan and in the effort to support employee and student growth and foster institutional alignment around the College ’ s Expectations Toward Social Justice . Additionally , The Diversity Team hosts quarterly roundtable update sessions for the College to connect around initiatives happening at NWTC and in the community . ​
During the 2021-2022 academic calendar year , in coordination with teams and groups across NWTC , the Diversity Team will focus our efforts by supporting the DEI Action Plan Program Initiatives listed below .
Institutional Climate
Supports and monitors strategic college wide indicators and standards .
• Establish a college-wide DEI communication plan . ​
• Support the identification and examination of key policies and / or business practices with an equity lens .
Diversity Education
Develops , facilitates , and evaluates educational opportunities for students , employees , and the community .
• Create intentional experiences that provide employees opportunities for transformational learning and encourage interactions with diverse communities . ​
• Expectations Relative to Social Justice are identified , communicated out to college , and embedded into key programs / activities .
​Student Success
Enhances and evaluates services and programs focused on the recruitment and retention of a diverse student body .
• College maintains an understanding of the campus climate through the lens of a student survey - centered around race , belonging , inclusion , and equity .
Workforce Diversity
Focuses on the recruitment and retention of a diverse workforce .
• The college maintains a PACE score greater than benchmark colleges .
