NWTC ’ s Diversity Team
The Purpose of NWTC ’ s Diversity Team is to advocate for an inclusive culture in support of the strategic directions of the college . This will be achieved by fulfilling the college ’ s vision for equity and supporting innovations that stimulate and advance diversity and inclusion within the college and our community .
Team Membership
ELT Sponsor : The team is sponsored by the Chief Officer for Diversity , Equity , and Inclusion
Chairs : Two members serve as team chair to organize and facilitate the work of the Diversity Team .
Team : Team members consist of individuals from across the college community . Representation from specific college initiatives or projects is sought out to promote strategic alignment .
Diversity Team Member Actions
• Share Diversity Team discussion and decisions with your department leadership and team members .
• Actively participate in at least one Diversity Team workgroup , event , and / or project throughout the year .
• Make recommendations about potential policy , practice , or process changes that would support improvement in DEI initiatives .
