My name is Maria  Gomez. I am from Beta Upsilon
chapter at Northern Illinois University.   My major
is Psychology and I will be graduating this Spring
of 2020. This semester I was inducted into Adela
de la Torre Latino Honor Society.   This society
helps the Latinx community develop leadership,
service and student excellence. I am a part of the
transfer honor society and became the president
this semester. I am also a part of transfer2transfer
which focuses on helping students transition into
the university.

Along the side of these, I became a member of De mujer a mujer which is a group of
Latina women learning to become leaders of the future. I am an individual who loves to
to become a relationship and family therapist. Being a part of KDChi has helped me
develop some stronger leadership qualities that I will not only further among the
sisterhood but, also use them in my future career. Our sisterhood has brought many
amazing people into my life that I will forever cherish.
