Jack Scott-Walker is excited at
the opportunity to work with
Winterbourne Opera, and also
with Ronan Busfield, for whom
he is understudy for the role of
Nemorino in Donizetti’s The Elixir
of Love. Having had his first taste
of the world of opera in 2004, as
part of the chorus for an English
Touring Opera production of
Benjamin Britten’s A Midsummer
Night’s Dream in Malvern, Jack has
always been keen on
performing. During his time at the
Royal Grammar School Worcester,
he played the Foreman/Grantaire
in a production of Les Miserables,
and Mr. Bumble in Oliver!. Jack has
just finished three years at the
University of Nottingham with a
music degree. Apart from acting as
manager of the university’s male a
capella group, in that time he has
held leads roles in productions
by the University Opera Society,
including the short Britten opera
The Little Sweep this year. He also
recently starred in the first
university production of The
Phantom of the Opera at
Nottingham Arts Theatre, playing
Firmin. Apart from singing he also
plays the piano and saxophone,
