INTERVIEW
How did you make it out of depression? Well, one doesn’ t just levitate out of the dirty swamp on his / her own, one certainly needs a great deal of help and efforts. Generally only three categories of people can help you pull yourself out of this muckfirstly Family and friends, secondly a doctor and the last category doesn’ t have much population because it consists of only you. To forget the pain and fear the depression arose from, one can take help of family, get indulged with them, they dilute the pain by sharing, empathising and with a tool named as humour. If you want to technically solve it by regulating your hormone levels with medicines, you have a doctor. But if you’ re brave enough to look the demon through the eyes, not to avoid it but to know the truth, to delve into in and pluck out its core, if you plan to help yourself you’ re my kind of person. I started educating myself about this condition and one of the best books I can recommend to you is“ Emotional Intelligence” by Daniel Goleman. I tried to retrospect and introspect, made notes, made inferences and connections, in short I tried to understand myself and my mechanisms. I was interested in how“ I” work first of all postponing looking at how the world does to later on. And only after I knew my sweet spots and the things I was already good at and strengthening other things making myself less insecure, I understood that negativity breeds negativity but also similarly confidence breeds confidence. The fact of you now taking charge of yourself is half way done. Although there was a lot of effort that needed to be put in to gain this invaluable freedom, one can always internalise something spectacular
