Summer is upon us and you know what that means, it’ s time to plan your family vacation! Let’ s switch things up this time around and plan a Staycation that focuses on the wellness of your family. Where to begin? I outlined it for you below:
Summer is upon us and you know what that means, it’ s time to plan your family vacation! Let’ s switch things up this time around and plan a Staycation that focuses on the wellness of your family. Where to begin? I outlined it for you below:
1. Ask your family what wellness means to them. 2. Then ask what they think of when they hear“ family wellness”. 3. Incorporate activities that include each member’ s idea of wellness. For example: Mom thinks of exercising when she hears the word wellness and pictures the family jogging when she thinks of family wellness. I don’ t know about you, but I doubt the family wants to spend their staycation jogging. Let’ s put a fun spin on it. Instead of jogging, plan a family volleyball day instead! 4. Each activity should reflect a member of the household. All voices count! 5. Keep it light & fun! There’ s no right or wrong way of doing this so enjoy the process.
Breathing Exercise Tips
While you’ re sitting poolside, take a few minutes to Breathe Sis, Breathe. Here is one of my go-to’ s when I need a quick reset, it’ s called 4-7-8 Breathing.

Inhale – Breathe through your nose for 4 seconds Hold – Hold for 7 seconds Exhale – Exhale through your mouth with a whooshing sound for 8 seconds Repeat – Repeat as often as needed
