WITH THE KIDS … ON A BUDGET

It’ s summertime!!! Our schedule is so busy during the school year that I’ m looking forward to a break from meetings, practices, after-school pick-ups, homework help, school trips, tests, etc. However, with this change in schedule, longer days and beautiful weather it’ s a great opportunity to spend time together and experience some fun things … but on a budget.
My kids love to do things and be on the go. So, a few summers ago, we created a Family Summer Bucket List. Here is a peek into our list of low-tono-cost activities for the summer.
Hopefully, our list will generate some fun ideas for you and your kids

Check the following for fun activities:
1. Local parks and recreation for summer camps and fun activities 2. Your local library will often have reading activities and craft workshops 3. Check for a local family publication. For example, in the RVA area there is the Richmond Family Magazine which includes a full calendar of activities in the area.
