Is the Industrialization worth it? Is it worth children working so that the general public can enjoy more materialistic things to make life easier? Or is it better to have more Industrial Productions than surrounding countries, while workers work to mine resources for low wages and poor working conditions? There are some positive and negative effects of the current Industrial Revolution.
Women can now work! Meaning that there are more people to work, so that Britain can advance faster than the countries. The only negative side to this is that women only get half of the pay of men and do more time consuming jobs, but this makes women more independent and the confidence they need to survive in a “man’s” world. A solution to this
problem is to pay women the same wages as men.
Children are now forced to work in the coal mines. factories, and in the fields due to the fact of greedy owners not paying their guardians high enough wages to send their children to school.
Due to the mass amount of children mining resources, they cause a positive change in their country by mining more resources giving Britain an advantage over other countries. The solution to ending child labor is to pay their guardians better wages, so that they could send their children to school.
New modern buildings are being built from the resources mined mostly from the child labors. Modern buildings attract many tourists and bring in a lot of money to Britain, making the rich
richer. These modern buildings are built by underpaid construction workers that risk their lives by working in poor conditions. Instead of making the rich richer the money should go to the underpaid workers or pay the workers a fair salary.
