“ This is a great honor ,” Prince said . “ There are great people in Coshocton , and I have great people working for me . I didn ’ t do this all on my own .”
Two Employee of the Year awards were handed out . The first went to Sheri Sharier from Signature HealthCARE of Coshocton .
“ This is my passion , and I love what I do ,” she said .
The second award was presented to Jimmy Appis from Property Data Service . Nominators said he takes his job very seriously and is always careful with equipment and tools .
“ I just want to thank Marvin and Steve for putting up with me ,” Appis said .

herself to making Coshocton a better and safer place . This year ’ s winner is Steve Clark .
Clark began his service to others in 1969 when he was drafted into the Vietnam War . When he returned home , he worked as a dispatcher for the sheriff ’ s office and then was with the Coshocton Fire Department from 1975-2012 . He also served on the Coshocton City Schools Board of Education . In retirement Clark remains involved in the community as an auxiliary officer with the sheriff ’ s office and a captain with the Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Department .
“ I had no idea I was getting this ,” Clark said . “ When I came back from Vietnam , I knew this is where I wanted to be . The people here are fantastic . They help each other out and without a doubt are the best .”

Central Ohio Technical College is accepting calls for nominations for three alumni awards .
The Outstanding Alumni Award recognizes COTC alumni who have personal and / or professional achievements that bring honor and distinction to the college and individual attainment or contributions for the betterment of the community .
The John C . “ Jay ” Barker Community Service Alumni Award recognizes COTC alumni who have made a significant impact on their local community through their leadership , involvement and service . This award was created in memory of John C . “ Jay ”
Barker , whose dedication to the college and the community epitomizes the qualities and characteristics this award seeks to recognize .
The Transitions Alumni Award recognizes COTC alumni currently working at the college in either a faculty or staff capacity who help advance the college and make a difference in the lives of current students .
Each nomination requires a completed nomination form and documentation to support the nominee ’ s criteria including a resume and / or written statement explaining how he / she meets the award criteria . Andrews grew up in Coshocton and chose to raise her family here . She has organized several community events for the hospital and volunteers with different organizations and boards . Andrews spearheaded the hospital ’ s Fill a Backpack campaign , which provides school supplies for preschoolers through sixth grade .
