Coshocton County Honor Guard dinner was held at the Elks
Coshocton County Honor Guard members met at the Coshocton Elks on Oct . 10 for their annual participation dinner with 54 people in attendance .
Gary Kilpatrick began the dinner with the innovation and Jack Patterson was the emcee for the program .
Six members were presented certificates for reaching military funeral milestones . They were Tom Dile 1,000 ; Darryl Jensen 800 ; Gary Kilpatrick 800 ; Joe Simmons 400 ; John Wright 400 ; and Jim Barstow 300 .
During 2023 members participated in 44 military funerals and as of Sept . 30 , there have been 40 military funerals .
Patterson recognized the local Blue Star Mothers for purchasing new raincoats ,
Dinner planned in Tiverton for Nov . 1
Tiverton Grange will host a community Thanksgiving dinner at 6 p . m . Friday , Nov . 1 , at the grange hall .
Everyone is welcome . Bring a side dish . Turkey and rolls will be provided by the grange .
Canned goods will be collected for the food pantry . Please help out by bringing a donation .
