CES trying new way to do secret Santa shop

Every year , elementary students get excited to shop for the perfect presents for their families . This year , Coshocton Elementary School is changing the secret Santa shopping experience and making it bigger and better than ever .
On Sunday , Dec . 1 , from 2-4 p . m . students will be able to shop for their families at the elementary school . The PTO sponsored event is bringing local vendors with crafts or products that the students can purchase for reasonable prices .

officer , said that some of the items students can purchase include earrings , necklaces , hair bows , Christmas ornaments , tumblers , Scentsy items , Tastefully Simple and many other items . “ Right now , we have 17 different vendors set up for the event .”
Shopping won ’ t be the only thing the students can enjoy that day . BKH Events will be there with Santa for photos . A 5x7

photo can be purchased for $ 10 with additional charges for more photos . There will also be take-home cookie sets and Christmasthemed games to play .
When the students are done shopping , they can choose to wrap their presents before they leave . Gore said adults are welcome to shop with their student , but there will also be volunteers there to help the students choose items so they can keep their gifts a secret for Christmas .

great way to do that . “ We also wanted to have this on a weekend as an optional event for the students as we have many who are not able to afford it and seeing other children coming back to the classroom with all of their buys can cause lots of heartbreak .”
“ We also chose this route to allow a better bridge between the home and school life ,” Gore said . “ Lastly , we want the students to be able to buy items that are good quality and something a family member would enjoy being gifted .”
She shared that they have the opportunity to use local transportation if

a family needs a way to get to the event . “ This event is made possible by our wonderful vendors who have graciously offered to make or bring items geared toward our students .”
“ Our PTO will not be profiting from this event as we are not charging vendors , We simply want to spread Christmas cheer this year ,” Gore said .
