Market accepting SFMNP benefits

The Coshocton Farmers Market is now accepting Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program benefits for fresh produce and honey.
Benefit recipients need to bring their account QR code either on their smart device / cellphone, their benefit card or printed from their account.
The SFMNP is sponsored by the U. S. Department of Agriculture, the Ohio Department of Agriculture and the Area Agency on Aging. It is meant to benefit not only low-income senior citizens by providing funds to buy fresh produce and honey, but also the small local farmers who sell their products at farmers markets. Fresh produce has been limited to lettuce, greens and onions due to the cool weather, but more variety is expected soon including strawberries.
The Coshocton Farmers Market is located at Skip’ s Landing, 22375 County Road 1A, Coshocton, and is open Saturdays from 8:30 a. m. to noon through the end of October.

Now 22 years later, the band continues. What was once a high school project has turned into a career. Though the band’ s membership has changed a few times over the years, their style has never wavered.
