Coshocton County Kids Safety Town will be held Wednesday, June 18 through Thursday, June 26. Morning sessions will be from 10 a. m. to noon and evening sessions from 6-8 p. m. at the fairgrounds.
Children entering kindergarten are invited to come learn about fire safety, bicycle safety, stranger danger and more.
Sign-ups will be held Thursday, May 29 and Wednesday, June 4 from 11 a. m. to 2 p. m. and 5-7 p. m. at the Three Rivers Fire Station. They also will be held Saturday, May 31 and Monday, June 2 at Hardee’ s from 11 a. m. to 2 p. m. and 5-7 p. m.

The ServSafe Food Protection Certification training is set

ServSafe Manager Food Safety Training will be offered Tuesdays, Aug. 5 and 12 from 9 a. m. to 4 p. m.
The proctored exam will be Tuesday, Aug. 19 at 9 a. m. This ServSafe Manager series will be held at the Ramser 4-H Activity Center, 700 Perimeter Drive, Mt. Vernon. Instructors will be Candace Heer, family and consumer sciences extension educator in Morrow County, and Emily Marrison, family and consumer sciences extension educator in Coshocton County. The class size is limited to 25 participants. Preregistration is required at go. osu. edu / knoxservsafe.
ServSafe Manager training meets Ohio Department of Health Manager Certification in Food Protection requirements by providing food safety and safe food-handling education for owners, managers and operators within the food service industry.
This training enhances understanding of food safety principles including factors leading to contamination of food, time and temperature abuse, cross-contamination, and personal hygiene. Program participants will receive a textbook and take the National Restaurant Association ServSafe Certification Examination. Those successfully completing the course and passing the exam will receive Ohio Department of Health Manager Certification in Food Protection.
