Author visits River View students
Submitted At Head Start staff and parents worked hard to make students comfortable with a visit from a dentist. One dad even laid on the floor to help his daughter feel comfortable.

Richard Cowdrey, who is best known for his books about Fiona the hippo and Marley the dog, recently visited River View Intermediate School to talk with students and work with them on a craft.
Head Start recently partnered with School Smiles to provide free dental care services at its Hilltop site.
This is Head Start’ s first time working with them, but staff already scheduled them to return in October because it went so well.
On April 23 more than 60 dental exams and cleanings were provided to children in Early Head Start and Head Start preschool with the support of parents and staff.
