Coshocton hosts a military swearing-in ceremony for 6

Coshocton High School acknowledged six seniors who committed to joining the Armed Forces of the United States of America upon graduation with a swearing-in ceremony on May 9.
Coshocton senior Anthony Ranali joined the United States Marine Corps.“ I didn’ t really know what I wanted to do right out of high school, and so eventually my recruiter called and asked me if I wanted to join and what I wanted to do. I like working on cars and working with fuel systems, so they got me on for the bulk fuel specialist program. I’ m excited.”
Caden Griffiths said he joined the Ohio National Guard because it’ s a brotherhood.“ There are decent benefits, and my dad was in the military, so I wanted to carry on the tradition and pick up

Preston Wayne Murray is going for the National Guard 42 natural resources specialist.“ My brother was a big part of my decision. He is on active duty in the army.”

Mayse will speak at BPW meeting

Robert Michael Babcock said the National Guard really aligns with his career goal and future.“ It would make a lot of people proud, like my dad and mom, so that is nice.”
“ I have been recruiting around Coshocton and Guernsey counties for a couple years with the Army National Guard,” Staff Sgt. Dillon T. Helmick said.“ The guard is a good way to kind of get your feet wet to see if you like the military. It’ s a part-time component that falls under the governor. It includes anything from radiology tech, to dental hygiene, to human resources, infantry, financing. So we send you to army training if you fully qualify for whatever job you select.
“ Afterward you come back to Ohio, hang up the uniform Monday through Friday and can go to any state college in Ohio on a full scholarship, 100 %. You can also go into trade programs. If you like it, you can go from there, and if you hate it, it’ s only one weekend a month.”
