River View Rec appreciates United Way’ s support
River View Recreation has been a United Way of Coshocton County partner agency for more than 13 years.
United Way provides financial support that helps River View Recreation provide approximately 275 players and 70 or more volunteer coaches summer recreation including softball, baseball and T-ball.
“ These kids are learning how to be a team player, work together, getting exercise, how to win and lose humbly, and many lifelong lessons,” said Angie Blair, River View Recreation president.

Presented by the W. Henry Hoover Fund and in collaboration with EN- RICH-MENT of Stark County, Gospel Joins Symphony will provide a concert the week before Juneteenth, a holiday celebrated on June 19 to commemorate the emancipation of enslaved people in the United States. The concert will be held Friday, June 13 at 7:30 p. m. in Umstattd Hall( McKinley High School), 2331 17th St. NW, Canton.
The EN-RICH-MENT Choir, directed by Darius McBride, will join the Canton Symphony Orchestra and the J. W. Chorale, conducted by Jeremy Winston.
McBride graduated in 2016 from Malone University with a BS in Music

Education. He currently is the director of choral activities at Westerville South High School, where he conducts four different choirs. McBride has shared his musical talents in Stark, Tuscarawas, Coshocton and surrounding counties.
The EN-RICH- MENT choir consists of people mostly from Stark County; however, there are some from as far away as Coshocton County. Tickets are $ 25- $ 35. Veterans, first responders, health care workers and educators receive 20 % off, along with SNAP and Medicaid recipients. You must call to redeem discounts.
