Guns-n-Hoses game will benefit Tristan Goodwill
A Guns-n-Hoses charity softball game will be held Saturday, July 19 at Coshocton Lake Park to help with the medical expenses of Tristan Goodwill. The event will start at 4 p. m. with the softball game beginning at 5 p. m.
Coshocton County sheriff deputies and members of the West Lafayette Police Department will play against firefighters from county and city fire departments.
Event organizer Amanda Rossiter, a patrolman with the West Lafayette PD, said the event started with local law enforcement wanting to have some fun.
“ I had heard about the Guns vs Hoses basketball game, so I just converted it into a softball game,” Rossiter said.“ At first we didn’ t know our chosen charity / family we were going to do this for, until one of our

Rossiter said she met with Sheriff Chris Walters about details for the event, and he mentioned he would like to raise money for a good cause.
“ He stated that one of our own, deputy Ruth Goodwill’ s son, was having surgery, and she would need to be off to care for Tristan,” she said.
Tristan’ s dad Travis is a fireman with the West Lafayette Fire Department.
“ This is a good opportunity to not only have a little fun, but to give back to our community. All proceeds will be going to Ruth Goodwill for Tristan’ s medical expenses,” she said.
Tristan Goodwill will throw the first pitch, and all first responders will line up on the white line for the national anthem.
