Local School District

District news

Summer Projects We have a number of summer projects that our maintenance department is already working on to improve our facilities and the grounds around RVLSD. One big project that will start in September, after school starts, is the renovation of the RVHS Auditorium. New seats, new stage fl oor, new paint, and new carpet will be installed. We will continue to raise money to finish the upgrades to our sound and lighting systems. Thank you to the RVLSD Board of Education and many local partners for making this project possible. How can you help? Purchase a seat in the auditorium to help pay for the remaining balance of the project. You will be hearing more about this in the coming weeks. It is very exciting!

• Painting of all athletic buildings, dugouts, press boxes, concession stands, and ticket booths
• Creating walkways from the parking lot to RVHS
• Creating another trophy case in RVHS
• Installation of a switch gear to improve electric capacity at RVHS for HVAC
• Auditorium upgrades in RVHS
• Purchase of a track hoe for the district

This year the district celebrated several retirements at our buildings:

River View High School Mary Bell- 34 years Brenda Bush- 22 years Amy Fox- 36 years Pam Shroyer- 19 years
River View Intermediate School Diane Daugherty- 33 years Nancy Donaker- 42 years Kelly Rinkes- 34 years
River View Transportation Department Dave Roderick- 23 years

Thk You for your dedication to the River View Community!

THANK YOU! Finally, thank you to our stakeholders for passing our Permanent Improvement Levy. This levy has been part of the district since 1995 and is used to purchase needs in transportation, building / grounds and technology. It can not be used on salaries. This levy is vital to our district that purchases buses each year along with having aging buildings. We can not thank the community enough for their support.
